Education Enrichment

Life at Laureate is more than just lessons. We are proud to offer an exciting variety of extra-curricular activities to help students uncover their passions and expand their horizons. The wide range of opportunities, from school performances, sporting fixtures and even gardening club there is something for everyone!

We believe that a strong Education Enrichment programme is an essential part of raising the aspirations of our pupils and giving them both the knowledge and the skills to achieve excellence, regardless of their background or individual circumstances. We want our young people to develop curiosity about, and passion for, what they are learning in school. To complement our curriculum, therefore, our Educational Enrichment programme helps to bring our students’ learning to life through the provision of subject-specific field and residential trips, competitions and workshops.

Sport

At Laureate Academy we strive to offer a diverse enrichment programme that offers pupils a chance to learn and enjoy sport beyond their PE lessons. Across a school year, we offer sports and activities throughout their schools journey from Year 7 to Year 13. Pupils are given a chance to be coached professionally by local teams, maximising their enjoyment and progression.

The Arts

Performing Arts is a platform for all students to express themselves as well as learning about different performance genres and practitioners.

Along with developing key performance skills for further study, Performing Arts allows students to develop transferrable skills such as teamwork and communication as well as working on their confidence. As part of their study, students will also have the opportunity to attend theatre trips and take part in guest workshops.
